Agents

Running an agent

Start a conversation and turn recommendations into drafts.

Where agents live

  • Agents — manage your agents and their configuration. Every workspace has a default Main agent, and you can create more with New agent. Each agent has its own settings — model and reasoning, knowledge, memory, tools, and access. See Managing agents.
  • Chat — talk to an agent about your data and ask for analysis or changes.

A typical run

Before the first run, make sure your workspace has a model key configured and the tools the agent needs are available — see Models, tools, and BYOK.

  1. Open Chat and pick an agent.
  2. Describe what you want — for example, "review last week's spend and suggest budget changes."
  3. The agent analyzes your synced data and replies with recommendations, each backed by the facts it used.
  4. When a recommendation involves changing a provider, the agent produces a draft. Send it to Approvals to review and apply.

If an agent needs something it doesn't have — credentials, permissions, or a tool — it pauses and tells you what to set up, rather than failing without explanation.

Your chat history

Each agent keeps its own conversation history in the sidebar of the Chat page. Start a fresh conversation with New chat, find an older one with Search history, and group related conversations into projects to keep long-running work organized.
